  • I was an Assassin’s Creed diehard fan, up until they fucked up the mechanics in Odyssey. Now, I wouldn’t give ‘Buggysoft’ 2 dollars for their whole lineup. So, I decided to pirate every single AC game I could find, put it on my Steam Deck, and I’m only at around 40% of Black Flag right now after about 27 hours of gameplay. Going over all of them will provide me with at least 5 years of having something to play that I really enjoy. I’m hoping that by that time I can finally afford to build a console-like rig to plug into my TV and forget Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft ever made video game consoles.

Then there’s the indie games I really enjoy playing, like Shipbreaker for example, that can run me over an hour for taking apart 1 ship alone.

None of those large studios will ever see my money again, and I sure as hell won’t be playing GTA6 unless/until it is available in the high seas.

  • She complained that there were no Korean bands in it, so that became a “Iron Maiden, Billy Joel, The Prodigy, none of them were Korean, GTFO, get a job and go pay for Spotify or something (or use Vivi 😁)”. Now, guess my age.

Nah, she blocked herself from my server entirely because she was VPNing into our self-hosted services to a country blocked, and it was just too much fun watching her trying to figure out why we all had access to everything and she didn’t 🤣🤣.

I told her to install Verney and she did figure out the reason and split tunneling eventually.

  • We have a similar situation, though it has nothing to do with AI (but it’s gotten worse since some clients do ask AI bots “I would like our LSP to do this” and since the bot will always tell them what they want to hear, they take it as God’s word, while most of it would be unsustainable at best).

So we decided that we will immediately disregard whatever idea they may have, ask what the end-game is for them, and provide our solution or flat-out refuse. If the client chooses to leave because of this, we’re cool with that. In 3 occasions they left for another provider (you know, those that say “yes” to everything only to fond out that it can’t be done) only to come back to us in a couple of moths and find out that “the rates have slightly gone up” from what you had in our previous agreement.

Every single one of them has signed the new agreement without any fuss.
