That’s why I’m talking about the “high end” EVs. Other than fancy interiors, they don’t do much more than the average mid-priced EV.
Look at how the Porche EVs have dropped in price. That’s some Stellantis level of devaluation.

What I really meant is the total weight of the car.
EVs weight too much for anything other than drag racing. They are way to heavy for turning and even something simple like a speed bump feel like a violent pothole.
We still don’t have an EV that can be as fun to drive as a Miata.
CATL is said to be developing a 12,000 Wh/Kg battery which is about the same as gasoline. That would make a real EV supercar that would rival a Porsche 911 or a Ferrari.

High end electric cars will not matter until battery technology advances to the point where those cars can compete with internal combustion engines on a power to weight ratio.

My guess is that these Chinese manufacturers will kill the old automakers that are in rapid decline after decades of low quality products at high prices.
I don’t know if the Chinese brands have good quality but they’re priced lower than the expensive low quality trash that’s already on the market from all the other automakers.
My issue is that nobody cares about EV supercars because mid-priced EV have supercars acceleration.
EV supercars have to bring something other than a nicer interior. They have to really push for cutting edge tech.
There are no expensive EVs that anyone sees as legendary cars like a Bugatti Veyron. People just see them as expensive EV cars.
