Exactly, many thanks 👍 !
This Earth, only home i will ever have had, isn’t truly mine. No, i’m just a passerby here … it might yours if you don’t feel how weird, how wrong it is.

Exactly, many thanks 👍 !

The broader implication is that we need not develop agents only by deciding in advance what they should practice and optimize. Alongside tasks to solve, we can give them rich and safe playgrounds in which to explore, discover, and learn. Perhaps some capabilities are best taught by tasks. Others may need something closer to a playful childhood.
Of course, and like anyone else, a.i. needs to play in its childhood to fully develop.

Brilliant. As antibiotics becomes useless, those bacteriophages will be next major medical tools.

tldr :
like steam engine but replace water with CO2
(and more efficient if no gas is lost)
liquid at (20 to 30)⁰C, ~65 atm
gas at (-40 to +40)⁰C at least and 1 atm
(it needs a huge place for storage of course)

Why didn’t we have a meme with these wobbly piles of blocks representing the internet structure having one tiny pillar identified as PHP yet ?

LLMs are not the ultimate evolution of artificial beings and emergent properties shows that simple systems can produce more complex capacities.
i want to believe in a better future although science gives us reasons to believe otherwise.
We humans are limited and mortal so having artificial bodies to give us eternal life and extended capacities could be good … but it also could be a disaster if billionaire psychopaths were the ones to get these powers before good people do.

do you appreciate our conversation ?

The human machine that i am appreciate your passion and naivety. Wishing you joy and happiness.

Very soon, when robots will indeed have feelings, you will be able to discuss that with them. Already, some humans, halfway between geniuses and psychotics, propose that a few earthly artificial beings are sentient.

Books that are highly valued for their exceptional quality until they are identified as being largely written by a.i. is a testimony to humans’ vanity and literature circles’ lack of humility.

Malicious automation migrated instead of stopping. While vulnerability scanning and plugin probing temporarily dropped on Yandex.Cloud, high-volume operations quickly moved to alternative hosting networks.
Cloud workloads are portable, so when a data center goes dark or an IP prefix gets blocked, operators can migrate their scripts to another provider in hours.
So, effects would have had been

Power to weight ratio, energy density and other technical parameters seems to be beyond the reach of the average Lemmy users mind’s range.

a woman think that she might be good enough in a given field when she knows more than 99% of it while a man pretends to be an expert if he knows 10%.

hum… now LemmyGrad.ml ?

is it down for other users as it is for me ?

(( thanks for many nice and well documented comments ))
from your link :
A recent study ( https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=6097646 ) uses the term “cognitive surrender” to describe the way humans tend to offload key critical thinking skills onto LLMs, even when the output is wrong.
Hey ! this is too much for my old tired brain.
… and you read the article and you learned anything from it ?
