For me personally, charging is the inconvenience. That and having to buy new earbuds over and over when I shouldn’t have to.
To each their own though

I too just bought a Motorola. My pixel 8 developed a line in the screen. I missed the headphone jack so much I decided I care more about that than I do the privacy of grapheneos. I did put /e/os on it though.
What Motorola did you buy? I went with a moto 5g 2024.

Just give me a fucking headphone jack. I’d buy one of these phones in a heartbeat for a headphone jack dude.

Yea I’d say robot is more dexterous, moves more. Machines are more stationary. A mechanical arm that puts car parts on a manufacturing line, thats a robot to me.
A coffee maker or an ice maker, those are machines.

So were just speed running the collapse of America on all fronts. Sick.
See y’all at the revolution.
IMO in a raid config, used drives are fine, especially if you have backups.
I bought a few before the prices were crazy and they havnt been on for a while but never had issues with them. Funny enough, I had more issues with the used motherboard than I did with those drives lol.

Right so in that way, its very reproducible. That was my understanding and I appreciate you for the more in depth explanation but is there advantage to that versus an immutable distro? Wouldn’t a immutable distro work in a similar way being reproducible among many machines?
Rollbacks can be done on immutable distros as well right? I’m just curious why Nix was the first choice and not something immutable.

From the article:
Its use of the Nix package manager means that each package is installed in its own directory with immutable and signed contents. That alone means that the setup is incredibly easy to reproduce across multiple machines, something that is an obvious benefit when dealing with different facets of a government.
Id argue an immutable distro would likely serve the same purpose but maybe its also because nixos isnt as “locked down” so itd be easier to configure for a specific purpose?
Maybe I’m just not finding the right brand, every Bluetooth earbud I’ve tried have been pretty lackluster. Either the sound isnt good, the batteries don’t last or both. Haven’t had good experiences with them thus far.
