I mean, saving subscription costs is one draw for me personally, but at that point it’s a matter of making up my hardware investment cost versus the subscription costs over time. This isn’t an instant money saver, and it never was.

Something something single point of failure.

You’re not the boss of me! Now where’s the hose?

Thanks, but I was hoping for a more detailed response. I’m not disassembling my PC to measure the hole spacing, and I’ve been unsuccessful in finding what the standard spacing is.

OpenAI had their little failure of a presentation recently, and they’re introducing a “fast response” tier for 6x the current subscription cost. This is their attempt to get people used to higher pricing. They are bleeding money, and they will need to raise prices sooner than later to start attempting to make it back.
Once they do, a good chunk of their customers will simply stop paying, forcing the AI companies to further raise prices, causing more customers to leave, etc.
AI companies are trying (and failing) to be indispensable, and they need that to have any hope of survival. It’s only a matter of time before they collapse, and only then might we see what’s actually beneficial about machine learning.

How did you find the right spacing for the motherboard holes?

Honestly, dusting the entire build is something everyone should be doing, regardless of if they have positive case pressure or not. Dust has a way of getting in no matter what.
Having everything open means you need to do it more frequently, sure, but everything is also very easy to access. Probably a wash when you compare levels of relative convenience.

The Chinese aren’t trying to bake censorship and refusal algorithms into their LLM and thus are making much more rapid progress…
If you think China isn’t baking censorship into their models, just try asking one about the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Neat, I didn’t know that was possible
Famous for hiding business owners and shielding them from legal consequences. I haven’t heard about them being a tax haven; they just have a really thick corporate veil.
