But I wish there was some service that tried to take steam on by doing better than they are doing.
GoG exists, you’re just not using it. Every game is DRM-free and works offline, the launcher can lauch games from other libraries (Steam, Epic) and doesn’t discriminate between games bought there vs bought some place else.
I honestly do not understand people hating on Epic and wanting them to fail.
If they hadn’t done the launcher update to mog steam, the steam launcher would still be slow as fuck.
Competition is a good thing and Steam having a monopoly isn’t. They contribute to you not owning games and need you to be locked into their systems and servers even for offline play. Steam is a buisness not some force for good in a world of evil.
Fair enough, I’ve never really thought of GoG as a launcher, to me it was always more of a storefront.
I actually play most GoG games on Steamdeck through Heroic Launcher and only ever had minor issues with the games not registering SD controls.
What is this nonsense about Linux compaitibility? They have tons of Linux compatible games. On any game you own they let you download a Linux version if it exists.
Firefox on Android has gotten quite shit as well. It just refuses to load sometimes and won’t open pages until you copy and paste the url in a new tab. Extremly annoying, especially for online payments.
E: It’s a known issue for a few months now. Check recent reviews on Google Play if you don’t believe me. Fuck me for complaining about having issues I guess.
I genuinely thought this would be some old ass phone from when before smartphones were a thing.
It came out in 2020. The phone I’m typing this on came out 1,5 years after that.
