It’s hard reconciling the fact you are being generous (even indirectly) and the fact that poor people with fucked up lives may be a bit too busy with their shitty lives to show gratefulness.
Like animals biting you when you rescue them, it’s hard to understand, no doubt.

I’ve no difficulty understanding lads being thirsty and attracted by a lovely lady who appears to be into gaming and hey, you can even interact and try to get her attention!
Now, explain to me lads getting super invested in some lads running around a field chasing a ball. Like, literally having their lives revolve around it, their identity entirely centered on it. Now that’s a complete mystery to me.
Sad but yeah, I worked for a few years in charity and heard similar stories. I was IT so didn’t have to deal with them directly, thankfully.
