SpaceX and Starlink should have to be broken up. xAI’s purchase by SpaceX never should have been allowed. The contracts for NASA should have always required ownership of the investments made and the amount of rented tech never should have been allowed critical mass. Starlink should have been allowed a monopolistic ownership of its spots in space and should have been for forced to create an open interoperability standard from the jump.

The fact that “SI” is how SpaceX is talking about those AI projects shows they are very much still a government contractor even in this phase, just looking at different pots of money. Contracts that Musk’s massive ties to corruption should be viewed as last resort, at least until they cut him out of the company (while he is charged and tried for his corruption).

I like the idea that using inferior AI is opposed. Another Transhumanist argument that seems totally fair to me, is that the goal of the current AI technology is to create sentient life by creating convincing enough interactions to make them indistigushiable from human interactions. This makes the most likely scenario one in which we create a living thinking being on par of humans but create systems of intentional slavery around them.

We aren’t there yet for me, but should enslaving a person really be a matter of taste?

It had good bones just didn’t get fleshed out in the writing to me. Neither the characters nor the lore grabbed me enough. I think I even beat it, but again i couldn’t really tell you if that’s true or not

Man I miss when the “pick your color” ending for ME3 was controversial because the trilogy was so beloved that anything but a momunental ending wouldn’t feel like enough.

The trilogy still was awesome and I still like the debates about the choices in that game!

It depends, sometimes the private API models are better at a specific task to the point it wouldn’t be worth using one that is worse. (Really it’s the harnesses around them tbh)

First find a way to track your costs. Measure how much it costs to give it away (to your self and people that support you starting it as a buisness). Do market analysis based on those number. How much do you need to support both your operatiinal costs of hosting and devoloper time paid with a fair wage, and what does compare to how much consumers are currently paying. If that looks good invest in an accountant and lawyer to see what the buisness plan viability might look like and set up a LLC. From there look for partners that can help you create a sustainable buisness and fill in skill gaps you dont have, or hire out the rest.
