I asked someone from Switzerland and he said “Well the flag is a big plus.”

I like the Surface Phone 2 form factor. Having the display be glass helps a ton, and the bezel inside is pretty small. It would be even better with an e-ink outer display; that’s plenty for most phone things, and then you could open it up for videos and such.

So it stops being xenophobic or fascist when a majority elects them? The literal Nazis were elected by a plurality; would more votes have made them not fascist or not xenophobic?

You flipped 0 and 1. RAID 1 is a full mirror; RAID 0 is no redundancy.

It could be (not taking a side on whether it is) a difference in degree rather than kind. The effect would still be markedly different in many cases (being excluded from a bathroom is annoying, being excluded from nearly every bathroom is a different matter entirely), but that doesn’t mean the intent isn’t similar.

It’s not too different from the web scraping that companies have been doing for 30+ years or the LLM training that happens at an insane scale. It’s just intentionally poorly done so that it wastes LLM resources trying to analyze it. Fundamentally, you’re just making a program that clicks links a lot. I don’t see how you could even be successfully civilly penalized for it, let alone criminally, but I’m also not a lawyer.

BeautifulSoup is a Python library that allows interacting with webpages inside a program. The high bill would be for having the LLM agent analyze all of the random clicks that I’d be having my Python program make.

Well, since it was a survey and not spy cameras, you’re disagreeing with the victims of the perceived sexism, which seems a little presumptuous. Now, it’s certainly possible for people to not notice sexism or to underestimate it on a survey, but it’s just as possible for you to overestimate it.

I mean more than average. Your anecdotal experience is higher than the number in the study, so the most likely explanation is that you’ve worked in companies that have a higher incidence than the average company. The study could also be of companies with less sexist behavior than average, but their sample size is almost certainly larger, so that’s less likely. Or maybe their methodology is bad, or maybe you misinterpreted the behavior, or maybe the whole thing is an LLM hallucination and I’m screaming into the void, but the first explanation is the most likely.

A whole agent? If I find a company doing this, I’ll use BeautifulSoup on a spare computer to click around their website randomly 24/7. They’ll end up with a comically high bill for a few hours of effort on my part. Might even make it a Docker container.

You might have just worked in particularly sexist companies.
The original idea behind them had some merit: in exchange for showing everyone else exactly how to do a cool new thing, you got to temporarily be the only one to profit from it. They’ve devolved into parenting general ideas (see the shopping cart patent) and fucking over anyone who finds a way to make the idea work, though.
There are only a few dozen devices on that list total. Hundreds more are relevant; for example, the AYN Odin 2 and newer likely work very well, and I can personally confirm that some games work well on the Odin 1 (but only if you upgrade to LineageOS 22, since the stock firmware is stuck on Android 10).
