All of these companies are not publicly traded. The “big ones” that build the data centers will lose a lot of value but will continue to exist.

The LLM companies deserve to & should go under.

If they get a bailout, are we ready to drag recipient ghouls through the streets?

The term bailout needs to stop being used and normalized. This is nothing like the housing market and audio industry crash.

These rich fucks don’t need socialism for the rich yet again, they need to eat their losses.

This isn’t going to happen. They’re not the banks, and they’re pretty universally hated in the country.

AI will “stay” in what form? Local models? The companies selling it are almost certainly going to lose their over 100 lawsuits of copyright infringement they’re 100% guilty of. I’m sure local models will be utilized, but not these LLM snake oil salesman’s products anymore.

It’s not even that good at coding. It has to be heavily curated and focused to output somewhat “correct” code, it is full of gaps that lead to lots of bugs and missed scopes that a human would bring up if they wrote it themselves, and the output is incredibly verbose and inefficient (and harder for engineers to read).

It’s subpar at everything, there are no areas it shines.

If they do get bailed out, people better make sure they’re armed when they’re protesting because they’re almost certainly going to use illegal force to quash dissent of their theft.
