Only flesh.

This is desperation just like the disney ad thing.

Is this going to lead to more video game stores being robbed in protest?

So here’s an advertisement for an advertisement? Because that’s my gmail content.

getty fucked

Yep and it’s in full swing these days. I still help out online but I know there’s a lot of data farming.

There is but there’s posts with no interaction for like a year.
Everyone likes videos, I’ve already been asked a few times to make videos about fixing espresso machines; granted I might form a contract for something like that with companies as I don’t want to provide companies free training videos from my decade of experience. And I have developed a few special ways to test and do diagnostics and repair them.
In a way all the knowledge and the work to make a video shouldn’t be disregarded since, odds are, they will redo them and capitalize on it.
That’s why I want to do a broader kind of thing, almost like a video book.
Even if my goal is sustainability and independence, I still need funding. A ten year old go pro isn’t going to show things in tiny detail. While I kept my lenses, I regret selling my camera that could do video.
Thanks for hearing me out.

I’m not the brightest bulb lol. I’ve driven 220 kph. But I wouldn’t do that anymore. There’s also a lot of room for weight reduction; I do that in both of my vehicles.
I’ve been thinking about how to make a channel about how to fix/recycle/reuse thing etc. Anything from food to electronics.

That’s what will happen. But it’s likely they will also think 2k for a digital brick might not be the best thing to do with how expensive everything is.

I think the effort won’t be necessary. We’re already discussing how 1200-1800(2000 after tax) is sounding insane. I think the argument for how a N64 costing $250 adjusted for inflation has lost it’s value. We didn’t have cellphones, internet plans (ok maybe aol), fees at every corner, a mountain of subscriptions, and whatever else is going on now. And there’s no used game stores now–I mean for these digital bricks.
So it’s time to sit back and eat some popcorn.

What I’m looking forward to seeing is how many scalpers that will buy it on the first day.

I haven’t yet. Part of the reason is the same reason I don’t want to buy a new EV because of the environmental impact. (Keeping an old vehicle versus buying a new one). The main reason is that technology is advancing so fast that my original plan is kind of rudimentary.
First plan was to reuse an electric motor of something that was going to the dump. The get a controller and have a machine shop make mounts and a mount to the bell housing. Then use either single phase or three phase. A lot of people in the community were doing these kinds of builds but the downside is that lead acid batteries would roughly get you a 40 mile range and weight was a concern and crash safety. Where I live it floods, so having battery insulation became a concern.
Then the prius came out with a nice enclosed battery. So that was desirable. And battery tech kept improving.
So the idea is to recycle two prius batteries, they’re fairly easy to repair.
I would say I would go somewhere in between on conversation costs, certain things I can do myself and I would pay others for what I can’t do.
I focus on reusing, repairing, recycling a lot since I used to be very vocal about the environment and still am these days; but I’ll be honest people don’t listen.

Thank you, my liege.

I’m kind of surprised to see the reddit like worship of steam here. As someone who has a 23 y/o account, a week into release; I don’t really have that many positive things to say. Like it’s okay, scraping the barrel okay. It could be worse isn’t something to banter around. 1.7 Billion in revenue in September is like cheering on Walmart.

I agree. Most modern cars are a nightmare in more ways than one. Though a 60s Mustang wouldn’t be as expensive as you think to convert. It’s like my Jeep. People have put in Cummins engines in them.

“I have a colleague with two kids, who’s actually not unhappy about something being done to try to prevent children from accessing the internet unfiltered.”
You know I really hate this kind of bullshit. I question if it’s a psyop at this point. When I was in school, they had this censorship thing, it was a stupid fucking dog as their logo, very fitting with the current news. I taught my friends how to bypass it. This was grade school. And I was teaching them how to use proxies, we we’re just browsing the net so ignore security. Had the school IT call us out on this lol. I mean I started with using a 64 MB flash drive running whatever was the smallest linux version to realizing I could just run TOR off that flash drive.

I’ve had plans to convert whatever car I have for like 15 years–and yes I’ve done my research, my friend helped me and he has a doctorates in electrical engineering so it’s more involved. I have a Jeep wrangler for that reason. The potential solutions for conversion are crazy now. At this point it’s cost. So the counter to your statement, if you manually convert you end up with a RC car instead of a surveillance system. Tech has advanced so fast that, you can ask why did I hesitate? Because of simple things like using lead acid batteries got quickly overtaken by lithium variations. Hybrid combinations are solutions as well. And heh… I’ll give you a kek for the $5 a gallon, it’s a bit more than that now.

I have no intention to buy a new car. It’s not even the privacy part but it’s crazy how perverse it is.
That’s how you get doorkickers instead of a lawsuit.
I think it was a joke, but the student loan borrower databases are backed up in salt mines.
