that don’t honour robots.txt
That’s essentially all of them in my experience.

Agreed 100%. I’d buy a Fairphone instantly if it had a headphone jack.

What do you mean they never happened? I know for a fact there were installs done with them and they were still offering them for installation in some area for years because I priced them out. They just didn’t get many people to go for it because the price was ludicrous and the product was unproven. Also, you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about with solar panels, if your roof is a good candidate for panels there isn’t some “shady side”.

The solar roof tiles were a real working product, they were just unprofitable even at very high price Tesla were selling them for. I briefly looked into them when I got solar panels installed at my previous home and it was about 50% more expensive thab replacing my roof and and getting traditional solar panels installed combined.

I guess every community project was extremely broken until now that slop can save us. What a ridiculous take.

It was a poor metaphor. You absolutely can ban AI software in software you control. If someone then managed to lie and sneak some in and gets found out, ban them and purge their contributions.

That would be one way to force people to use their shitty app.
While you explained this correctly (as far as I understand it), there is part of this everyone keeps making an assumption on the outcome, the “or they can opt to convert it into stock” part. I’m really curious what the interest rate they gave the early investors to entice them when the company was much further from a sure thing. If the interest rate was decent, that final number is going to start becoming awfully enticing to just collect on instead of getting stock that might collapse.
