Like other tech giants, Microsoft is spending hundreds of billions of dollars on AI data centers and chips.

To put it into context Microsoft only made $155 billion in FY26, that’s just 21% higher than 2025. Things are really tough for Microsoft right now, this economy is really having an impact on everyone.

Today: ‘Copilot will let us control costs and will work around the clock!’

    6 months: everything on fire

        Dipped in chocolate?

They might be after sucking dry all the water and air to run data centers for the mighty AI.

I’m sure they try to dress it up in some palatable way on either side. But if they’ve ever said AI would save them money, that would mean because they aren’t paying as many humans.

I don’t even think Copilot could set things on fire. It would at best just smolder a little.

Microsoft is going to discover the joys of the Dead Sea Effect. You know what makes them more liable to leave? The money’s nice, but it’s because they’re talented.

You know what’s left once all the talent has evaporated? Just the salt.

They think they can import cheap talent from Asia. Trump won’t let them without sufficient bribery.
