I don’t care if is has feathers, or long grabby arms, I’m waiting for it to fall asleep, and chucking a spear at it, and running, every single time until it dies of bloodloss, gangrene, or exhaustion.

Does the T Rex even understand what I did? Ranged attacks didn’t exist for 65 million years after it went extinct, does something that evolved to hunt slow, armored herbivores have any response to ranged hit and runs? The many species of megafauna humans hunted to extinction before the invention of writing suggests no.

Well you’d only have a knife based on the post, so you’d have to throw it and retrieve it, and it wouldnt stay sharp forever. These are all issues with a spear too. I’m sure a T-Rex could out run you as well. Best bet might be to conserve energy and hope the dinosaur starves first.

Issue I see here, can you make good enough spears and throw them hard enough that they actually pierce its skin? Making megafauna-hunting-grade stone age weapons isn’t that easy.

I wonder what it would sleep like. I imagined it laying down, but if it sleeps like a chicken, it’s infinitely harder i think. Maybe befriending it and betraying it
