Do you only comment in witty quips?

I doubt AI companies are buying DDR3, it’s just second-order effects of new hardware being unobtainium.

Inhumane

They are going to have more than one drive, obviously. And 400 MB/s is nothing to scoff at.

They don’t need to archive AI output silly, they need to archive the cumulative works of the internet because they keep forcing hosts to shut down with what are among the most aggresive web-crawlers ever deployed outside of DoS attacks.

this has to be a joke

I do not like the looks of the future. Too much regulatory capture, too much critical infrastructure based on technology too little effort has been spent explaining to the layperson. It leads to clueless and incompetent governance like this, to the benefit of a handful of the worst people, to the detriment of most of us.

We really don’t know enough about how brains work or how quantum computers will scale to even speculate on that

Problem is we buy these things from the lowest bidder

The problem is context is just not the same thing as changing the structure of the neural net, it doesn’t matter how big you make it

That is a pretty huge misunderstanding of what the fruit fly thing was. Researchers mapped how many neurons they had and which interacted with which others, but not the strength of those interactions or even how the interactions worked. People on the internet used this blank mapping as the “structure” for existing ML technologies and trained them to do random things. No actual fruit flies were simulated, and we are still a long long way from actually attempting that.

The other blocker is that it can’t actually learn anything, what it gets from the training is what it’s stuck with, it has to hold anything new in the context window.
Both of these are pretty insurmountable problems for the architecture.

Not on earth
Why? Scared of roach milk?

Host your own redirect then? The cold feet from people like you is kinda the point, Buisnesses should be using the business tier.
dmidecode is a tool for reading loads of platform registers, it is obviously not the only way to do it, or even the intended way really. Riot has almost certainly implemented the functionality from scratch in their anticheat, it’s a relatively trivial thing to do.

I assure you, if you are a brokie like the rest of us, you will not have the money to spare in the ensuing recession. Honestly I expect personal computing is dead, likely for a decade or more, if it ever comes back.

I don’t think you should be too suprised. Not everyone wants a mac or can even use one for their workflow, and non-Apple arm and riscv is nowhere near Intel or AMD for performance, and the efficiency is a lot closer than you probably think.
How often do you need to replace your phone?
