You think I’m pro-AI? lmao
It’s possible (and surprisingly common) for anti-AI articles to have been written by LLMs.

Slop is already a denial of service attack on our attention, our infrastructure and the signal-to-noise ratio of the information that we consume. I don’t see why I should also spend my time pointing out all of the obvious LLM tells in every slop article that goes by when that takes effort and producing the slop takes zero effort. It’s a losing battle.
I’m sorry that you can’t tell slop from human writing, but I would suggest that to train you discernment circuits in your brain you need to read more human writing. Read some books, read some articles written before 2022, read some blogs of people that you know don’t use LLMs. It’s tough to find good content out there, but it’s not difficult to discern real communication from statistically average mechanically-reclaimed meat substitute.

This article is slop.

Nice! Link for the lazy: https://marginalia-search.com/

That’s cool, thanks.

I like what Kagi are doing, even though I don’t pay for their search engine. I’ve been enjoying browsing the Kagi Small Web portal recently.

This is vibe-coded nonsense.

It has a single committer and there are two commits with Claude as co-author, so I would suggest it’s probably about as you’d expect.

No it’s free, only the search engine is paid (I don’t use it).

Yeah it works fine for me, even in youtube.

I use the iOS version for the built-in uBO.

The stable matching problem has also been called the stable marriage problem, using a metaphor of marriage between men and women, and many sources describe the Gale–Shapley algorithm in terms of marriage proposals. However, this metaphor has been criticized as both sexist and unrealistic: the steps of the algorithm do not accurately reflect typical or even stereotypical human behavior.

The phone has been out for 10 days and this article is from 6 days before it was released.
Why are we looking at an “early benchmark” from before release instead of an actual real benchmark of the device. I don’t get why Geekbench doesn’t have results for iPhone 18, or why this “early benchmark” calls it “iPhone19,2.”
If true, the single core performance of this chip is almost identical to the single-core performance of the new M6 chip.
Something doesn’t seem right, but I don’t know a lot about Geekbench or iOS benchmarks to know if this seems legit or not.
Edit: apparently they haven’t shipped yet?

If you are wondering what exactly is causing the freezes and hangs, the culprit is the “Secure-Boot-Update scheduled task”. As the name suggests, this runs a scheduled Secure Boot update whenever you are online or connected to the internet. That is why many affected users initially thought the issue was related to the internet as they noticed the bug won’t show up when they were offline.

I’ve only recently adopted AI, and only sparingly, mainly for debugging, tests and help with documentation.
I wonder who came up with the name and the logo 🤣

I like the idea of bringing back the BBS over SSH but
This codebase was largely built with AI assistance and is set up for that workflow.
Nah, I’ll stick to IRC.
You can bet they’re selling it to AI companies for training, too.
