Anon is trying to sneak through a really bad take here, so I hope you guys are only laughing at this because you don’t know what they’re referring to.
what about the take is bad?
this is legit what is going on. idiots think they are using their magical powers and they know THE TRUTH about the Clancy case and lots of other idiots believe them and they are so insane they are protesting outside the courthouse and harassing jurors.
Can’t argue with that, I’m just worried that - since it’s 4chan - the aim is to discredit the idea that Clancy was under psychosis and that she should not be fully held accountable for this tragedy.
What are they referring to?

Thanks, that certainly explains the first half of the post, but what’s going on in the second half? Are there lots of people blaming the husband?
There is a tiktok movement that believes that despite all evidence and witness statements, phone logs, and surveillance footage that somehow the husband is responsible.
This is supported by vibes, astrology and folk magic, it’s very strange. The court case isn’t even about who’s responsible for the murder, it’s about if the Defense has a valid insanity plea to keep her from jail or getting institutionalized.
Thanks for the context. Sounds dumb as hell … wonder how much of that is manufactured by rightwingers.
valid insanity plea to keep her from jail or getting institutionalized.
A successful insanity plea keeps you from getting institutionalized?

tbh 9/10 cases in the Witcher III are just people trying to hide domestic murder behind folklore shit.
In fairness, that’s not far off from reality.
Almost like witcher was commentary from the beginning. Almost.
I’d love to know what you think this “commentary from the beginning” is. Please, elaborate.
Admittedly only dumped ~20 hours into one game, so may not have the most holistic view on the game.
But feels like there’s a ton of quests that are “go hunt this monster”, find out the monster’s motivations, realize it was the humans/“civilized folk” who dealt the first blow / profaned nature / failed to perform some ritual, Geralt grits teeth and sides with civilization against obviously wronged nature/monster.
So yeah, I didn’t see any “its actually domestic abuse” quests, but the games are crawling with “humans have hubris/pride that is their own downfall” commentary.
I wasn’t talking about the third game in the series but the books the games are based on.
I wonder why there aren’t more True Crime video games.
Too real I guess. Not fake and gay enough to sell well.

There were a bunch of good ones and then I guess they just fell out of fashion. I should play L.A. Noir again. Ooh, and Hard Rain.
